a general note:
In February, I experienced a sudden collapse of vision in my left eye. Two hospitals in two states and three ophthalmologists later, we discovered that I had had a severe ocular occlusion – basically, a stroke behind the eye. My vision is slowly returning with the help of monthly eye injections (yikes!) but in all likelihood this will impede the pace at which No Reply’s work can be undertaken in the short term. Everything will be made and shipped as planned, just perhaps on an elongated schedule. Thanks so much for your patience.

22. The Waste Land
As soon as The Death of Ivan Ilyich is finished shipping, full attention turns to The Waste Land. The current schedule has the first copies shipping in the cruellest month, though it may be until the Summer when all are out.

21. The Ethics of Ambiguity
This edition has ballooned wonderfully since originally conceived. We have added a remarkable original introduction to the work by Harvard philosopher Jacob Roundtree, and the artworks – originally a suite of twenty from which collectors could choose – have doubled in number. The format of the book will be somewhat bigger than originally planned, too, and on a more luxurious paper. All to the good, as collectors should be pleasantly surprised, but naturally progress has been slowed.
The type is set and plates have been made. The paper, Hahnemühle Biblio, has been cut to size and is ready for printing. The handmade cover papers have only just arrived. Now, it’s only a matter of clearing time and space in the workshop to proceed. The Ethics of Ambiguity will be on press as soon as Magnetic Storms and the second color on Ivan Ilyich are done.

23. poseidon & other vignettes
A bit of a mystery edition, even to longtime collectors of the press! Here’s the story: I have been working on a small edition of Franz Kafka’s shortest stories for over two years now. Wonderful artworks have been commissioned from Linda Lowery, and I have gone to press twice! Still, the edition has not yet felt right, and so I have scrapped the work and started over. It is a wonderful collection of stories, and I want to do it justice. As other editions have taken reservations (and thus taken precedent) work on Poseidon has been a sporadic late-night affair. I am hoping to go back to press and finish the edition in 2023.
